Generalization: Black People and Young Men Essay
In fooling life, you foundation find out man many generalization easily such as, when you hear some law-breaking, you immediately think of the drunken, unemployed, color people.. etc, or when you heard about Havards student, words describing handle rattling smart, creative, sucess in life easily or something like that glance through your brain. In the same federal agency, when you heard people count on on welfargon, you immediately think that they are lazy, unemployed, have many children, never shew to get any job and they are black people. However, do you think generalizations like above eer redress?Absolutely not. In my opinion, each person has each generalization, sometimes genelizations is similiar, but sometimes not. price genelizations fuck be cause racism or unfair in life. To set forth with an Gladwells article, because he mention generalization in one of his articles. In Troublemakers, Gladwell argues that generalization is not easy, you must know just what is going on. Because of the attacks of pitt pig bed, it was banned by the Ontario goverment. They said that pitt bulls is very dangerous, can bite someone without warning signs, then, they stubborn banned it.In the same cheek with pitt bull, he gave us some example about childly men driver eer higher charges or doctors think that midle-ages easily get heart attack. In the same article, he also gave us example about terrorism. He said terrorist in our mind is totally different in real. We take ont know how a terrorists look like can be a Arab men, can be a young men, can be black people, can be white people, can be lady, also can be a old men. Thats why, the goverment and the police, specific is New York Police Department have trouble in sketching terrorists prolife. However, when NYPD use right generalization to make decrease crime in city. Back to the pitt bull, as we know, not all pitt bull are killer, moreover, dogs are good or bad also depend on owner. Most of case was attack ed by pitt bull, the owner is often neglectful. However, it is soundless prohibited. Therefore, Gladwell said that is wrong generalization. As shown above, generalization is not always right. In a upbeat statistics 2012, total government spending on welfare annually (not including food stamps or unemployment) $131.9 billion. This number is increasing every year. Besides, the global economics downturn, this number is very serious. Thats why, most of americans dont like people who depend on welfare too much. Americans purview that it was one of cause badly affecting in life today. In the same statistic was shown above, percent of recipients who are black 39. 8 %, thiss highest percent. Next, base on those numbers, you are thinking that black people depend on goverment so much and they seem never try to getting job. Moreover, most of drunken and crime you can see everyday on the street are also black. In the same case, when you go to department of welfare center, you can easily real ize that the number of black people is more than all. Now, you begin to default on your thinking that black people are lazy, drunken, crime and depend on welfare so much. Meanwhile, how we know they never try to find a job or try to do something? We dont know. We also dont know what is going on their life. They can really have more troubles than white, because of the racism.I have a small story, thats observation. Im spirit Northeast Phillies. Oneday, when I was from home to school, I saw some homeless man on the way to school, I counted five people and in which just have one black people. Now, where is problem? I know, thiss just small story and it cant generalize anything obvious. However, I think it abounding for we look back at own conclusion. Fact that blacks depend on welfare more than others, dont they? When we heard about black people, we immediately think of crime, drunkenAnd, thinking made us dont want to hire them. Clearly, theyll unemployed. Next, they must depend on w elfare to maintain life. Things like a circle and has no end. Until we change our thinking about them and giving them more opportunities, they are still depend on welfare. Not all black people depend on welfare, also not all pitt bull are killers. Finally, genaralization is really important and need shrewdness. You must observation everything what is happening nearly problems. Because a wrong genaralization can can lead to unnecessary mistakes.

Compare and contrast Grand Odalisque and Velazquez's Princess Essay
Comp ar and contrast lofty Odalisque and Velazquezs Princess - Essay ExampleThe painting also represents an eclectic mix of styles that combine classical form with wild-eyed themes, which is a contrast to contemporary style and content. Las Meninas (1656) represents a masterpiece of Spanish painting by Diego Velazquez, and single of the most prominent paintings. The painting also doubles up as one of the most disputable and imitated painting in history. The painting depicts a scene from daily life within the palace of Felipe IV in which the Princess is at the centre in the company of her ladies-in-waiting (Meninas). Naturalism of the painting with its impact of spontaneity and relational informality should be understood within the context of Velazquezs identity as a administration painter and a member of the court of Philip IV (Mitchell 58). The painting demonstrates Velazquez skill in the utilization of claroscuro in which the point of light lights up the characters and establ ishes an order within the composition. I am drawn to these machination workings owing to the praise and criticism that they draw. Grande Odalisque, for instance, corpse one of the Ingres most popular nudes given that the anatomical twirls of the odalisque head for the hills to fascinate art fans. The paper compares and contrasts two masterpiece paintings belonging at diverse artistic periods and expatiate distinct characteristics of artists distinct styles, namely Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres and Diego Velazquez. Grande Odalisque/Une Odalisque Stylistic Characteristics Grand Odalisque The painting contains a clear outline and elongate style highly typical of the Neoclassic movement hence, the female figure within the painting is accentuated by light and possess a distinct contour highlighted by the setting of the darker movement. This renders the painting to be highly sensual, realist, and romanticized. Use of space The body of the nude occupies the entire frame of the canvas in which her head, elbow, and buttock are only few inches away from the edge of the canvas, and her toes extend beyond the bounds of the edge. Techniques One of the techniques that Ingres employs features his anatomical distortion as seen in the female nude. In Grand Odalisque Ingres drew extended sinuous lines to lengthen her hindquarters and pelvis area. Critics claim that the lack of anatomical realism makes her body appears boneless. Use of color Ingres use of color is carefully planned, whereby he differentiates the warm tones vis a vis the cool colored silk. Lighting The foreground of painting remains completely unlit heralding focus to the long and affective body of the odalisque. It appears that major spotlight awarded to her body, especially fervor and drawing attention to the areas that he elongates (her arm, back, and pelvis area). Tone The Grand Odalisque is sensual and erotic, whereby the odalisque is offering herself to the sultan, but offers save a small preview of her body. Brushstroke Ingres employs tight brushwork to attain his near photographic realism. Ingres incorporates the likeness of the texture of the casts skin, the velvet, and the silk. Cultural Context Grand Odalisque In the artwork, Ingres has generated a fresh aloof eroticism emphasised by its exotic context. The painting reflects sensual fascination with the orient and portrays his attraction for foreign eroticism. Some art historians cite the elongation of the Odalisque

He also proposed that each rural district was to have a single garden town managed by private corporations. This would enable the middle or low class individuals in industrial estates have improve residential spaces rather than staying in a dormitory suburb that could barely accommodate 30,000 people. It is worth elucidative that Howard was not a designer, he only did drawings which were clearly labeled diagram only to avoid confusions. He stated in his book that such drawings would only be called plans after the site is already selected. And the drawings visualised his personal beliefs on how a good metropolis should be developed, but he incorporated his engineering science and architectural skills in his tho ughts (Howard, 1898). He tried to convince commercial developers that his idea was both economical and socially feasible. He later found Town and Country Planning Association that incorporated environmental conservation principles in construction designs and implementations. He combined efforts with Henry Harvey and co-partnership housing movement which attracted sufficient funding to get Letch worth Garden city in the northern part of London. His fame increased when he partnered with German architects to produce more human or social friendly designs in the residential construction sector. Germans also adopted the garden city plans and constructed iodin in Hellerau. Howards plans were used in several parts of developed nations. However, his idea was greatly opposed my or so reporters due to some reasons. This work would discuss Times reporters objecting Howards planning ideas due to some reasons. Part 1 Lim itations of Howards plans The times reporter thought Howard never included a population increase in his idea. Population rise is a common or natural phenomenon that should be incorporated into any ascertain plan meant to serve human needs. The reported specifically argue that a single garden city can only handle about 32,000 people. This number is likely to be exceeded when more people transmigrate from rural to industrial estates in search of employment furthermore, the industries are also likely to expand their operations to absorb more workers in both the companies and industrial estates. The reporter further argues the beauty of a residential estate is to accommodate all people in need and not the aesthetic beauty as taught by Howard. The reporter gives an example of Parkland and North Adelaide developments that were ruined by population overspill. From his drawings, Howard only cogitate on structures but nothing to do with the management both liquid and solid domestic wastes . In other words he only incorporated the engineering and architectural principles without considering the aspects of semipublic health. The reporter laments that a normal human must produce some wastes that must be well managed for human health purposes. Howard plans need some amendments that would indicate the respective positions or locations of washroom facilities. The reporter who must consult some engineers, architectures and public health officers argue that it is recommended that a wash room should be placed some meters away from

I also would like to point out towards the economic theories of Herbert Hoover who advocated the balancing of budgets in short edge despite the facts that this can damage the economy.
